From the airwaves to the world of CBD: Up close with Fitish founder Jenna Owens

Mar 25 2020

We first met the glamazon Dallasite, Jenna Owens, by way of our friends at White Unicorn Agency — though we had been familiar with her voice for a while. (She was a longtime co-host of The Kidd Kraddick radio show.) Little did we know how obsessed we would become with Fitish, her CBD-based line of skincare products that work especially great for your pre- and post-workout needs. The company started out as a 30-day workout plan before evolving into everything fit and fun — from product to podcasts. Jenna made headlines recently, after announcing her departure from the airwaves after 12 years to focus on Fitish. We caught up with Jenna, picking her brain about rescue pugs, inner and outer beauty and the beauty of CBD.

Q.
Where is home for you?
A.

A half-decorated modern townhome in SOHIP.

Q.
Great obsessions?
A.

CBD. “Peaky Blinders.” My rescue pug Weezy.

Q.

Dewing It — a CBD-based daily moisturizer.

Q.
A few regulars on your workout playlist?

I train with @pilatesbodyraven and have been really into SculptHouse — and always boxing.

Q.
What was your first intro to CBD like?
A.

I started taking CBD orally years ago for insomnia and anxiety when flying, in an effort to get off prescription anxiety medicine. I tested it topically for my rosacea and the anti-inflammatory properties worked wonders.

Q.
Top tips for staying fit and feeling good?
A.

The better you feel inside, the better you look outside. I spend more time on my own mental health than on outer beauty. I also enjoy eating Reese's Pieces with hot water with lemon because it feels Fitish.

Q.
Fun fact we can't Google about you?
A.

My first word was “witch” and my parents had a genuine concern about my love of horror movies as a kid.
